Killer Website

Earlier I was looking for some video editing tutorials online and stumbled upon this little gem. Wonderhowto.com has plenty of techno-related how-to videos as well as some not-so technical. Ever want to have your pet rat play basketball? Wonder no more...
There are also some seriously useful videos on there too so check it out.

Micky and Lil Pat

So I am guessing that everyone saw Micky on the cover of Dig this month (check a few posts below if you haven't). Lil Pat also had a picture in Ride BMX doing a tuck no-hander off a slide in Austin (couldn't find the pic). And as I was reading through a couple of well-known BMX sites this morning I saw so many people talking about who rides for who, why this dude is sponsored and this one isn't and how to get sponsored. Then I thought back on Micky and Pat and how they got in magazines and sponsored. In all the years I have been riding and reading magazines/websites I've heard a lot of opinions on how to get sponsored and all that bullshit. And I thought about Micky and Pat just packing it up and moving to Austin with nothing but their bikes, some clothes and a tent. And I got stoked. I just thought their ability to say "Fuck it" and go for it was pretty inspiring. I've never read anything in the BMX publishing world that said living in a tent for 2 months was a great way to get exposure. Cheers to the dudes doing what they want, how they want.

Flipping Crazy!

A New Project from Props Visuals (sort of)

A few months ago I heard a little about Chris Rye's new project, "For Liberty". Chris is one of the founders of Props Visual, the guys who bring you Road Fools, Megatour and all that good stuff. I hadn't checked out the trailer or THE WEBSITE for the documentary until a few days ago and I must say I am pretty impressed. I know a lot of you out there don't give a shit about politics (I myself really don't pay too much attention), but the trailer is worth a watch.

Corey Martinez...

is the man. After watching 3 or 4 same-old street web-edits on The Come Up I stumbled upon this beauty. Everyone knows Corey has been on top of the street scene for almost a decade and this edit is further proof of how amazing this dude is. If I ever put a part together like this I would quit riding; this is just a week's worth of riding he put together for a web edit. Jeez.

Trails and Karaoke

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been updating too much but I've been out of town for a while and haven't really had much internet access. One of the places I've been over the last few weeks is Pittsburgh, home of the Stanley Cup champions, the Super Bowl champions and Mark Mulville (during the summer). They also have a sick trail scene out there and an equally exciting Karaoke scene. The video below shows a quick glimpse into both of these worlds.

If you want to see more about some of the stuff going on in Pittsburgh then check out www.welcome2pittsburgh.blogspot.com
